What’s your Personality Factor?

Submitted by admin on Saturday, 18 July 2009No Comment

MBTI ThailandAre you a Sensor or an Intuitive? A Thinker or a Feeler?

The Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI™) is the most widely-used psychometric instrument in the world. Much of its appeal lies in its simplicity and, among the companies we have introduced it to through our one-day programme Personality Factor, the ease with which it can be put to use in the workplace.

Of all the psychometric assessments, MBTI™ offers the easiest means to identify a person’s personality type (and their patterns of behaviour) without actually asking them to sit down and complete an assessment.

This is because with only 16 possible combinations, applying MBTI™ is relatively simple. But first you need to know how.

Personality Factor

In Personality Factor, participants learn the theory behind type differences then watch video clips where they are asked to identify, either in pairs or in teams, the types of the people being filmed.

To do so they need to pick up clues from how they speak, dress and carry themselves, as well as the patterns of behaviours they see.

Once they have identified the person’s type, following our training they are then asked to figure out a way to communicate more effectively with the person, given that in the video clips a misunderstanding (or conflict) usually arises.

MBTI™ gives the participants the tools with which to take the most effective approach. As an example,  clearly-identified Introvert is not best persuaded by being talked to, but instead asking him or her a number of questions while allowing plenty of time for a response is likely to be a far more effective approach.

How Personality Factor benefits the company

Personality Factor is led by Asst. Prof. Kritika Kongsompong

Participants who are able to identify other peoples’ Personality Factor are better-placed to read people situations and stop problems from arising. They are also often better able to connect (if they are in sales), work in teams and communicate more effectively through this understanding. Personality Factor is also an essential component in supervisory skills as well as for goal-setting and effective delegation.

Don’t miss our public programme!

The great news is that Personality Factor is available in Thailand with the next session on 26th August. With video case studies and hands-on activities, Personality Factor also includes:
